Two people were questioned about their visit to a British hospital when they tried to see Malala Yousufzai.
Yousufzai was airlifted to Great Britain on Monday to received specialized medical care and protection from follow-up threats by the Taliban, according to the Associated Press.
Dr. Dave Rosser Medical Director of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham stated that security is under control. He said that several people showed up at the hospital claiming they were relatives of the girls, but they did not get far. Those people were arrested and questioned.
Rosser stated, “We don’t believe there’s any threat to her personal security.We think it’s probably people being over-curious.”
According to CNN, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Reham Malik announced that there is a $1 million bounty for Ehsanullah Ehsan, Pakistani Taliban spokesman, because it is believed he is the one who carried out the attack on Malala.
Malik stated, “At that point of time we did not know exactly what there objectives were, and what type of action they were going to take, until they hit Malala.”
Rosser stated that Malala is being strong so far. Doctors are being optimistic saying that age is in her favor and that teenagers brains are still growing and can adapt to trauma.
