Three Brooklyn business owners were killed by a possible serial killer who committed his first murder in July and the most recent on Friday.

The gunman targeted stores owned by Middle Eastern men without surveillance cameras, according to NBC News and The Associated Press.

The first murder was at a Bay Ridge clothing store in July. About a month later another man was killed in his Bensonhurst 99 cent store. The most recent was at Vahidipour Rahmatollah’s women’s clothing store on Flatbush Avenue. All of the murders happened in Brooklyn.

The gunman used a .22 caliber gun to kill the men and then covered their bodies in items from their stores.  All of the victims were shot with the same gun and all of the same casings were found on site.

The New York Post says that the number eight may also play in the murder. All of the addresses where the men’s shops were had the number eight in them.

A source from the local law enforcement said, “He could be some guy who has really done his homework. He may have read up on how to do this. Professionals sometimes use .22s, which make less noise and, because it has less firepower, it does a lot of internal damage.”

There is a $22,000 reward for any information leading to the killer.
